The S6X and S7A Mk2 main monitors are designed for large control rooms and film studios. They use a sym- metrical concept to increase the realistic reproduction of ADAM monitors to higher sound pressure levels. ADAM has avoided the typical overloading of the bass range that can often be found in main monitors. A wide horizontal radiation characteristic and moderate vertical beaming are crucial factors to minimize the impact of ceiling and floor reflections and achieve neutral sound reproduction at high volumes.
Extended D'Appolito design
A total of seven individual speakers were arrayed so that gradual transitions could be made possible given the size of the cabinet. In addition, we chose a horizontal symmetry that can be described as an extended D’Appolito configuration. This kind of design combined with suitable transition frequencies and filter slopes results in radiation patterns that lead to very consistent reproduction characteristics in the horizontal center position. At the same time, vertical dispersion is reduced so that reflections from the ceiling, floor or mixing console are greatly reduced. Thus, so called ‘early reflections’ have less chance to interfere, which leads to significantly better stereo imaging and a more three-dimensional sound.
Impulse Coupling
Further progress in development was achieved by the use of Alucore® panels, an extra firm component material with an aluminum honeycomb core. All drivers of the S6X and S7A Mk2 are mounted on such panels, which considerably improves mechanical coupling between the drivers and the cabinet.
The S6X: accuracy and power
A number of innovative approaches in conjunction with uncompromising effort in all sonically relevant areas make the S6X one of the largest and most sophisticated active monitors currently available. The horizontal symmetry design is conscious of harmonic and generous diaphragm area proportions to achieve not only a flat frequency response, but also a consistent dynamic behavior within the entire frequency range. Complex orchestral structures can be easily analyzed and spatially arranged on the S6X. Extensive control options on the front panel allow for adjusting to different acoustic situations or personal taste.
Amplification
The built-in amplifiers are coupled to the respective drivers as directly as possible so that remote amplifier units do not compromise the advantages of active technology. One 500 Watt amplifier is assigned to each of the 12" woofers, while 250 Watt units are used the other bands of the frequency range. This main monitor combines very high accuracy exceptional power: SPL peaks far beyond 130 dB are produced without any compression or harshness. The S6X is an excellent choice for large control rooms and film or sound studios.
Control panel
In addition to the input sensitivity that can be adapted in the range of ±10 dB, there are four other level controls that affect the individual amplifier modules. Shelving filters at both ends of the frequency spectrum and three fully parametric equalizers help compensate for standing waves in the control room. The EQs can be inserted separately or grouped so their effect can be directly evaluated.
In large film score mixing rooms, there may be a need to simulate theater sound. Based on the ISO 2969 standard, the Dolby® X-Curve is used to achieve this. This filter engages a 3 dB per octave roll-off starting at 2 kHz. Below the front input jack is a selector switch that activates this filter, eliminating the need for external processing during the film mix. In addition to the rear input there is an additional switchable XLR input on the front panel, allowing work with the monitor regardless of set-up.

The PLM 10000Q amplifier is based on technology from Lab.gruppen's highly acclaimed and road-proven FP+ series, but goes the extra mile for even greater sustained output power: an impressive 4 x 2,300 watts! 3-Way 10" Main Monitor
For large recording and mastering studios, film and television post-production facilities, cinema applications and in-wall installations, nothing beats our main monitors SC3010 and SC3012.
Both models – SC3010 and SC3012 – feature a very powerful amplifier array, with one amplifier custom specified per driver. All drivers found in these models were completely developed from scratch to deliver a perfect balance of high sound pressure levels, low distortion and optimised directivity. Our proprietary AMT RS6 will redefine your perception of how a tweeter should perform. The RS6 was especially designed for unparalleled precise reproduction, even at high output levels, which will definitely help you take your mixes to the next level. We've also taken great care in the design of the front of the speaker, using an ultra-stiff front plate made out of a combination of rigid plywood and a special inner construction to reduce unwanted resonances. The result? Smooth directivity, very low distortion and a well defined middle and upper frequency range combined with a powerful and tight low end.
The SC3010/SC3012 systems were also built with in-wall installations in mind. When used in this manner, acoustic filter modifications can be engaged by adjusting the filter controls to "inwall". And a set of high-density quality foam is provided so that the backfiring bass ports can be physically closed, improving the quality and focus of the speaker's response.
The stylish silver module in the middle of the speaker not only houses the midrange woofer and our AMT RS6 tweeter, but it can also be rotated 90-degrees, allowing the speakers to be positioned either horizontally or vertically. This helps to preserve control room sight lines and further optimises acoustic performance.
Tech Talk
The SC3010 is the smallest of the biggest in our range of main monitors and able to reproduce the entire audible frequency range with an ultra-low level of distortion.
One 10" SilverCone bass woofer, with an extreme long excursion, provides for an extraordinarily clean low frequency reproduction down to 29 Hz (-3 dB). Its hexagonal glass fibre layered diaphragm will easily reproduce all audio content, even at higher than usual SPL's.
The SC3010 also features our newly developed 5" midrange unit. Its glass fibre layered Rohacel™ sandwich diaphragm delivers a clear and detailed midrange frequency reproduction. Both the 10" SilverCone woofer and 5" SilverCone midrange are equipped with our very low distortion copper cap magnet system.
Exclusive to SC3010 – and its larger sibling SC3012 – is our newly developed Air Motion Transformer AMT RS6. This new AMT is 2.5 times bigger than the RS1, RS2 and RS3 Air Motion Transformer units, and it is a crucial part of the system as it helps to couple the middle and high frequencies with great precision. Our team was able to engineer the RS6 to set its crossover frequency at 1800 Hz, a very important frequency for human hearing and subsequently, music production.
Each driver is provided with its own separate PWM amplifier that is able to deliver a short-term output power of 250 W per tweeter and midrange channel and 800 W for the low-end driver. With a maximum output level of 114 dB (SPL @ 1 m), you will definitely be able to judge your mixes precisely, whatever their final intended output level is.
The SC3010 is a three-way system that combines powerful bass reproduction with a very transparent and present mid-range and crystal clear high frequency reproduction. Make no mistakes: whether you're producing your new hip-hop hit or mastering the contemporary works, the SC3010's will be there for you and they will tell it like it is. Bad mixes no longer have a place to hide.
As with every other EVE Audio speaker, you get both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for greater convenience.
DSP
With every EVE Audio speaker, you also get high resolution DSP electronics. One push knob operation and you will have access to accurate volume control and several different filter settings that will help you tailor your monitors to the way you work. If you always avoid digital processing, we've got you covered. The DSP engine is supported with a high quality A/D converter (24bit/192kHz) from Burr-Brown, which delivers a pristine signal to the DSP section. And since the PWM amplifiers are directly connected to the DSP, no additional conversion is necessary.
Bass Port Design
It's all in the geometry. One of the downside effects of port compression is bass distortion. As you turn up the volume, the efficiency of the port reduces and distortion will increase.
A lot of attention went into the development of our bass ports. After much deliberation we opted for a large rear rectangular port with no hard edges, as these provided the best results without unwanted side effects. That's one of the reasons EVE monitors have a high efficiency on the lower frequencies.
The results? High sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion. Crank up the volume, and EVE will deliver a round bass. And with no holes to look at every time you glance at your speakers.

One sophisticated 12" SilverCone is in charge of covering a frequency range that goes as low as 25 Hz (-3 dB). Its long excursion driver will easily reproduce the lowest frequencies with an extraordinarily low harmonic distortion level.
The SC3012 also features our newly developed 5" midrange unit. Its glass fibre layered Rohacel™ sandwich diaphragm is responsible for clear and detailed midrange frequency reproduction. The PMC6-2 provides main-monitor scale, depth, and dynamics, and allows mix decisions to be made quickly, with absolute certainty and without fatigue.This 3-way active monitor speaker combines two custom 6-inch ultra-long-throw bass-drivers with our radically engineered PMC55 2-inch soft-dome mid-range unit and a precision-built one-inch soft-dome tweeter. The PMC55’s distinctive ‘N-compass’ waveguide enhances the wide dispersion and remarkable mid-range projection of the driver; in combination with the high performance of the tweeter, the result is an ultra-wide and stable image, with a smooth and natural in-room response. Each bass driver is individually powered by a cutting-edge 400W Class-D amplifier and seamlessly integrated by our sophisticated, highly accurate DSP-based crossovers. As with the PMC6, the monitor is configured using rear-panel controls or the browser-based SoundAlign™ software, with comprehensive boundary and EQ options.The PMC6-2 offers astonishing size-to-performance ratio thanks to its ATL™ bass-loading technology, which results in exceptional LF extension and consistent tonal balance at all listening levels.
